Muskoka Brewery
Totally worth the drive
You might have tried some of their beers already, as they send them around. But visiting the place and their cosy, vibrant tap room is a different experience.
Upon arrival, the smoke from the woodfire welcomes you from far off. A bit misleading though — you shouldn't expect anything fancy on the food menu. You come for the beers, and for that piece of amazing atmosphere they've managed to create.
The brewery isn't really big, and you can get a decent tour if the person in charge has some time. Amazingly cozy, it feels almost like a family spot. A really decent selection and variety — we kept coming back and were entertained every single time.
The only vice is the food. They used to offer hotdogs which were maybe not the best, but good enough that you wake up the next day wanting to repeat them, of course, with a glass (or two) of their products. The whole area is really nicely done. Makes you feel at home, and that's a feeling so difficult to replicate. Chapeau bas.
