Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co.
Start With the Cloud Candy and order food
Mondays are typically not the busiest days for taprooms. Yet this one held a quiet hum, people drifting in on their own, often after an evening run. A play corner keeps the kids occupied, and we saw families turn that into a brewery that works for everyone. Large sitting outside and truly busy.
We did the tasting in the wrong order. Started with the double, then the single, then the light, and finished on the non-alcoholic. By the end, we had to ask for a small pour of the double again, just to reset the palate. Lesson learned.
The Cloud Candy family is worth the visit on its own. The kitchen is on an odd quest, tapas from every country in the world, one at a time, so the menu jumps from aloo tikki to birria tacos to clam chowder. But the honey BBQ wings stole the show.
Megan ran the floor with stories about the brewery and a steady hand on the menu when we lost our way. Dishes come off the food truck out front, and good food is what makes you want to stay longer and come back. You can buy beer to go, and many guests came to do exactly that.
A lovely experience.
